Since September brings National Suicide Prevention Week (NSPW) and worldwide awareness during this month, now is a good time to review access bars for mental health. In the diagram below, you will note that among the 32 energy bands, or “bars” on your head are points for healing and kindness, gratitude, peace and calm.

Access Bars Healing Points -
These points on the head, when lightly touched, release old energies and blockages. Access Bars for mental health is a powerful tool in natural healing.

#BeThe1To is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline’s message for National Suicide Prevention Month and beyond, which helps spread the word about actions we can all take to prevent suicide. The Lifeline network and its partners are working to change the conversation from suicide to suicide prevention, to actions that can promote healing, help and give hope.

Access Bars works to alleviate anxiety and release tensions.  A 2017 study published in the Energy Psychology Journal found that “Treatment with Access Bars was associated with a significant decrease in the severity of symptoms of anxiety and depression and an increase in EEG coherence. These results suggest that Access Bars may be useful as a treatment for anxiety and depression.”

Neuroscience researcher, Dr. Jeffrey Fannin, conducted an earlier study (2015) of Access Bars for mental health and concluded, “Research by leading neuroscientist Dr. Jeffrey Fannin et al, with 60 participants examined the neurological effects of the Access Bars. By measuring brain waves on people before and after a Bars session, this research revealed that 85% of the participants indicated an increase in brain coherence. Additionally, he discovered that Access Bars has a positive neurological effect on the recipient similar to those experienced by advanced meditators – and it produces these results immediately.”  You can access a white paper about this study, here.

This comes as no surprise to Access Bars healers like Patricia Jenson, who in honor of Suicide Prevention Month is offering 50% off on all Access Bars sessions through the end of October (use code Prevention-50 at checkout).

Below, you can watch a presentation by Dr. Fannin about his research on Access Bars for mental health.
